4.9.1.1 IDtmEvents::OnPreparedToRelease()


This method can be called in the states:        

HRESULT OnPreparedToRelease (
[in] BSTR systemTag
);


Description:
A DTM sends an notification that it can be released.

Parameters:
systemTagIdentifier of the device instance


Return Value:


Behavior:
The DTM has released all references to other components. After the Frame Application has received this notification it can release the DTM.

According to page 45 of the specification, OnPreparedToRelease() can only be called in state zombie. As the state transitions are finished with asynchronous calls, OnPreparedToRelease() is the call which finishes the state transition to "zombie". Therefore the call must be allowed in states "new enabled", "configured" and "destroyed". "zombie" must be removed from the list. This has been updated for this method.
